~Music is like ...
wings at your heavy shoes~
My guitar accompanied me regularly in my younger days.
Sitting by the campfire, singing and strumming the guitar,
was very hip in those days.
But when I was a student, I stopped playing the guitar.
For 18 years my guitar had moved with me several times
only to end up on top of the wardrobe.
It´s been only some years since I got the guitar down from the wardrobe so that I might accompany my little daughters when they sang.
At very point in time I heard the music of Ulli Boegershausen for the first time.
It was the perfect moment to pursue some new aims in life.
Ulli`s music has given me the motivation and the will to start something new
and to learn some of his compositions while I still can!
For all those who have a old guitar on top of their wardrobe:
it`s never too late !!
Every moment spent with music is worthwhile.

"Children`s Song" is the first real fingerstyle piece that I've learned.
When I decided to use this song for a video, I gave the title to YT and was amazed at how often this song is already represented. Actually, nobody needs another version;) But this video is supposed to be a "thank you" ... for the last 13 years that I spent with my wonderful children ... and a "thank you" to Ulli Boegershausen for his music, which has influenced me a lot.
Most of the photos and videos were taken by my children.
Children have a "special eye" on things :)

„Without You" comes from "Turtle In The Sun", the 3rd album by Agustín Amigó his best album, as he himself says ... I agree with him, although I think all 3 CDs are very well done. The Water Is Wide" is a folk song of Scottish or English origin that has been sung since the 1600s and has seen considerable popularity through to the 21st century. Our performance is a mixture of the original arrangement of Agustín Amigó and a version for guitar and saxophone of this arrangement by Robert. Presumably, nylon-stringed guitar players think Tárrega and a steel-stringed guitar do not match. „Weißt du noch" is from Ulli`s second LP „Im Zwielicht" (1983). You can also find it on his DC "Sologuitar". I started learning this piece on a steel string, and i enjoyed it like that for a long time, until i got a solid bodied vintage suzuki classical guitar. It has spruce top and indian rosewood back and sides, the sound it produces is exactly what this piece "needs". With that said, your lakewood sounds wonderful! And your performance was top notch, well done!

I loved it! Although I actually prefer the sound of nylon strings it just adds a bit more of a spanish feel, but thats just my opinion. Again beautiful cover!
